When I was expecting my daughter Katie, one of the things I had the hardest time trying to find was a diaper bag. I mean, there are a lot of bags out there - some big, some small - alot with baby colors and prints - and some that are somewhat stylish. Every time I would try to find one - I would give up, because I guess none of them really caught my eye. I just couldn't find one that I felt fit what I was looking for in a diaper bag. I was lucky enough to have my best friend buy me one for my shower - one I really liked - so that ended my search!! But, as moms out there know - kids, even little ones, do a number on your stuff!! And as my duaghter got bigger, I found that my diaper bag needs were changing, so I was back to square one.
And then, I was lucky enough to meet the owners and founders of Rowdy Products at the Babytime Expo in Las Vegas. I actually first saw their enormous display photos before the show started and I knew I had to visit them. As a lone business owner, I don't often have time to shop at these great events, but luckily - they paid me a visit and I bought my first Rowdy bag. The style I chose was this one, the Scoop News Bag.
I am a jeans and t-shirts kind of girl - I don't often dress up, and I like my comfortable style - so this bag really got my attention. It was big - had lots of room, and came equipped with the necessities of a diaper bag, like a water resistant changing pad, insulated bottle holder, and even a removable purse so you can leave the big bag behind when you don't really need it. Best of all - it just has STYLE!! I don't look like I'm carrrying a diaper bag, and I just like how this bag fits with my every day dress.
The other thing I love about this company is they have a lot of styles to fit different moms. Some moms are still in the professional world and do dress up every day. Others just like to look good - no matter what their style. They have a bag for everyone! Not to mention, this company was started by - you guessed it - parents!! They had the same thoughts I always did - there needs to be a stylish alternative to what is usually just a functional purchase. But they did something about it!! And one more thing...as a mom myself, I know how hard it is to spend money on something that's really just for you. I always try to spend everything I have on my little one - and usually don't do the extra for myself. But this is a case where we feel you should really think of just you - not as just a mom who needs something to tote all the little one's necessities - but as a woman...who still likes to look good even through the trials and tribulations of motherhood!!
